Anyone else sad enough to be watching Strictly may have spotted Alison Hammond's sister ( yes, another over weight black woman) in the WAGs section of the audience. I used to work with her. Not a great claim to fame but surprising to see someone I know on prime time tv. Dr Who now...

Wow I'm going to tell all my friends that I once spent a day being deafened, standing next to someone, who once worked with the sister of Alison Hammond. 

Then all I need to do is find out who Alison Hammond is.

Alison is from Kingstanding.. I work with some people who know her and that. I've never met her though.

no, I've never met her ( that maybe obvious). Alison's niece was also in the audience, she is slightly famous for having had a heart transplant when she was 8, IIRC.

Wasn't she the notorious vixen who pioneered the new generation of rock music coming out if Salford in the 40s?.....as the only other Alison hammond I know is the annoying overweight women who keeps infecting my TV wearing a swim suit.. And you can't be talking about here surely :-D

One of my cousins is called Alison. One of my other cousins has a son who owns a Hammond organ.

Seriously though, I did meet her a few years back and i had forgot till i saw this, its hardly a claim to fame.  She hung out with a group of us for the night and I remember her being a really good laugh.

It was at one of my mates gigs, he was also doing drumming for the pantomime at derby theater and they became friends through that
