FS: Fenix by Young Chang HSS superstrat
What's Hot
Late 80's or early 90's superstrat made by Young Chang. This Korean factory made Squier instruments for Fender before marketing their own Fenix brand.
The body has a translucent green finish over an attractive bird's eye which is also visible on the headstock.
Overall condition is good apart from a few scuffs, cracks and scratches, see photos for details.
The original hardware is excellent - nice smooth tuners, locking nut and a Floyd Rose licensed tremelo bridge with fine tuners. The tremelo arm is missing.
With 9 gauge strings the neck has a low action and plays nicely all the way up. The fretboard appears to be ebony. Upper fret access is better than most Fenders as the cutaways are scalloped at the front and the body is relieved at the neck pocket.
The jumbo frets are in good condition with slight wear under the top strings from frets one to five. This is minimal and doesn't affect playability.
Pickups are fine - the humbucker has a coil split option giving you all the classic Strat sounds plus full on HB for lead playing.
Cheap padded gig bag included. I'd rather not post, collection from Bradford preferred.
