Fabulous woman. One of my favourite Morecambe & Wise guest stars.
Great actor, highly principled as an MP. RIP.

Edit: I forgot to mention the recent BBC R4 adaptations of Émile Zola's Rougon-Macquart cycle. Stunning acting throughout  https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000fgjf/episodes/player?page=2

She was a great actor, and for some reason she always reminded me of David Bowie.

I don't think I can name anything she has been in other than Morcambe & Wise, although I have seen her a lot over the years. So good in M&W though!

She seemed a force to be reckoned with in the House of Commons from the various speeches I've seen over the years. RIP.

    RIP

Completely coincidentally I have been watching the Elizabeth I Tv series from 1971. Wow.

Talented. Principled. Committed. Caring. Truthful. Witty.

    Magnificent

As I kid in the 1970s my impression was that she was regarded as being at the very top of the acting profession.  Which she probably was, for a while.  I saw a lot of her films in those days but probably didn't fully appreciate them, and I haven't seen many of them again since then.

I have mentioned this before but....

Doing a bit of last minute New Years Eve shopping in Tesco, Lewisham, fresh back from Lanzarote.   Little, very scruffy lady in front drops her packet of fags which I proceed to pick up and give back to her.   She gives me a look and then says "Thank you Sir" in the most theatrical and imperious voice I have ever heard.  .

And then a little smile and a twinkle in the eye and she walked off.   Fantastic women.  RIP.

One of my school boy crushes.

The Elizabeth 1 series has recently been repeated on one of the Freeview channels. I was enjoying it, one of the better things on the box!

Not sure what channel, but likely BBC4, SkyArts, Talking Pictures or Classic (65) as they're the ones I normally watch.

    RIP

    Great woman. Sad loss.
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Id just like to point out that, despite all the video and DNA evidence, it genuinely wasn't me, your Honour  !
