Budget mic preamp

So just a little update..

First I ended up buying a 2 channel TK Audio DP1 off ebay for about £600. It has a germanium drive, Class A transformer coupled output, switchable impedance and 30dB pad.

It's a very meaty and full sounding preamp.

Then I ended up getting deeper into 500 series gear and I now have 6 preamps. Went a bit overboard but I want to record drums.
