UPDATE:

They cancelled on us and are refusing to pay the contracted 50% cancellation fee. Might seem a bit much to expect to be paid for a gig I didn’t play, but this is a business; I was sat at home that night not earning, when I could have accepted a gig from another client, had I not kept the date free for these guys.

Court action has been activated, but it’s a slow process and last time we tried to enforce a contract we were offered something risible like £1 a week until it was paid off, which would have taken years.
