Maccaferri G-40 top nut repair
Has anyone tried to repair the top nut on a Maccaferri resin guitar? The resin top nut on mine has become unusable due to flaking of the area around the slots.
I thought about trying to build up the resin and then recut the slots, but now I'm thinking that as I have a bone top nut the right width I might file that down low and then file out the original resin top nut and glue the bone one in.
Does anyone have any experience of repairing one of these? Thanks for any info.
