IIRC, we opened our doors to the great unwashed on Sat 3rd Aug 2013.

There's only Lee left in an admin role from the original 5 of us who had carefully designed and built the site over the preceding week (well, it took us 6 days, we rested on the 7th), but there's still 4 of the 5 left who regularly post here.

Does anyone remember who the 5th fretboardbuilder was?

Streeties have been arranged.

I always see Chris Ireland mentioned on the page & wonder if it’s the same guy who built monster 3500 Rover trikes in back street heroes

I also seem to recall that, originally, I only volunteered to host the thing.

I wasn’t in The Five but I was in the first few huddled masses 

I also know very well that modding forums is something I don’t have the time or stomach for!

I think I was on Music Radar for about a year before here. I know the community goes back years before that. I only started buying gear again around 2012 and have learned a great deal in those 11 years. It's taught me that this is a fucking expensive hobby.

When I first joined (probably sometime in 2001) it was split into forums for Guitarist, Guitar Techniques and the other one.
