WTB MIJ 335 Style guitar

Ideally looking for an early 80's 335 style guitar, Navigator, Greco or Tokai. My absolute preference would be an Greco SA1200 or Tokai ES150 but will consider alternatives.

I know it's not jap, but @JakeLoosemore has a great 355 in the classifieds.

Thanks for the info guys, Im ideally looking for a  Greco SA1200 closely followed by an early 80's Navi or Tokai but will keep the above guitar in mind if i cant find the above.

I have to say my Navigator ES-335 is amazing quality for the money. Bought it direct from Japan last year. Quite a rare beast I'm told.

I px’d my Navi 335 advertised here recently back to John at edgware music. His boss bought it back but might want to sell it again. Lovely thing.

For the price you are going to pay for a good Jap 335 (£1200 ish) i would stretch the extra and get mrkj2000s Gibson 335 studio advertised on here.

Japanese Aria Pro ii from that kind of era are good as well if you can find one. Worth trying out if one comes up.

Seems a bit pricey to me but might be worth an offer. OBG's are fine guitars IMHO

Nice 1985 Yamaha SA2100 in Edgware Music at the moment.

The SA2100 is a superb guitar and is a bargain at that price !

From memory, that Yamaha has quite fat frets, but give John at edgware music a call,  he’s lovely to deal with. I just bought that strange Andy Maz sort of Les Paul on his website and after some fettling by Feline it’s quite something.

They are a truly superb guitar.......I used to have a crush on them and even had an SA 2000 S ......the extremely rare Spruce top model
Although they are really superb they do not sound like a 335 and were never intended to. They are brighter and crisper and actually even more versatile but if you like that neck pick-up wooliness you just wont get it here ( not a bad thing IMO )

The 2100 does have typical Gibson fat frets, and thankfully, has some height to them (unlike the 'fretless wonder').

My '83 MIJ has Spinex pick-ups from the top of the range SA 2600 so that should explain the extended range.
More of a 355 style in terms of construction and adornments I would say ...
