Yes yes. I know there is a “recommended amp techs” pinned post - but it is quite old. 

Anyways - one of my JVM heads sounds significantly harsher (brighter, not as smooth) than the other. 

Recommendations for someone to look at the okd workhorse for me?

Yeah, Marshall will collect your amp and return it etc.

Straight to Marshall. Quick service, and they'll give it a proper once over as well to see if anything else needs a bit of TLC.
Guaranteed to get original parts then as well.

If you are close enough and it's a short enough repair job sometimes you can ask for a tour while you wait for the work to be done. I did that and it was great to have a look round.
