John Marshall R.I.P.

One of the UK's greatest jazz drummers, John Marshall died 16th Sept.  He was 82.  

"Mainstay of British jazz" is one of those cliche phrases but in his case it was very true.  He was in Soft Machine for years and prior to that, Nucleus among many others.  Tremendous drive and a very recognizable style.
