Idea for home decorating

What's Hot
I was at a friends house the other day and noticed that their bathroom wall was painted a colour pretty close to sonic blue. It got me thinking, wouldn't it be nice to have your house decorated in classic fender colours, with corresponding guitars hanging on the wall in each room. A seafoam green bathroom, a daphne blue kitchen, a bit of dakota red in the hall and shell pink in...the cupboard under the stairs?

What about the Paisley room (Pink/Blue), or the Antigua Burst room? The Antigua may be suitable for a '70's bathroom.

Or the Relic finish room? That would send my Mrs over the edge frankly.

Pretty sure that's the garage. The sunburst room would be hard to paint. However, the tobacco sunburst room would be the smoking room :)

  • Or you could have guitars finished to match a room.

For example, strip half the body back to bare wood, glue some small offcuts onto the top horn and stain them yellow, and hey presto - the Fabocaster.

I painted my place Egyptian Sand, it is very similar to vintage white, although, I suppose a true colour match would be Magnolia.

I do like their 96 orange though.

I'd love a fifties style usa diner kitchen with candy apple red walls

Yes! I shall go immediately and repaint the dining room in Candy Tangerine.

and then rename it "the Liberace room".

  • If I were in the market for such colours, I'd still have Dulux Dog Pure Brilliant White walls & ceilings, but I'd use the colours, especially the bright & bold ones on soft furnishings like curtains, cushion covers &c. I once used a colour very much like candy apple red for curtains on the 2 small windows by the stairs, and very effective it was too. Would have been even more effective with a red strat at the top of the stairs. I may be a Gibson man, but even I can see that the right strat is decorative

Looks like @Emp_Fab is destined to have the unfinished look then

Great excuse! "It's not unfinished, it's reliced"

You could do this with custom colour paint charts:
