The sentiment is very much appreciated, @flying_pie!

Apparently though, as a musician, this is the highest compliment you can receive from another musician:

I thought the ultimate compliment is the John Mayer reaction to Derek Trucks:

5 points :  @digitalkettle :  The style and sound are the best fit to the backing, although you did have the advantage of it being your backing track . I like 'sound texture' of your approach as well as the melodic ideas and phrasing.

3 points : @susbemol ;; : Took things in a new direction giving it a latin jazzy feel. Very 'Earl Klugh' which I've said before about your acoustic playing. Some lovely lines.

1 points : @fastonebaz ;; : A strong melodic start. Nice expressive bends and phrasing. Perhaps a bit too overpowering for the backing, especially as things progressed through the solo. But loads of good stuff in there.

5 points: @digitalkettle - I feel like I say this every month but lovely dynamic use of effects that elevated the part.
3 points: @fastonebaz Great energy as usual and climactic shredz at the end.
    1 point:
@stratman3142 - Nice build and rhythmic ideas. Extra brownie points for the "Peg" starting point.

Some right tasty here! Don't think there's a dud so it's on today's mood alone I'm afraid.

5 pointies @susbemol - nice to hear acoustic soloing, and so nicely done
3 pointies @fastonebaz - because I are an sucker for harmonised shreddz
1 pointo @stratman3142 - just niiiiice, some Ford-isms at the end which piqued my earhole.

  • Yes I've been rumbled with that Jay Graydon 'Peg' lick.

But I slide my fingers up and down the neck, like I did when I played Peg live, only to discover years later that I was playing it wrong because he bends the double notes.

  • 5 Points @digitalkettle - Fits the mood of the backing, nice tone and seamless, melodic playing.

3 Points @susbemol - I loved the Latino vibe and it has tasteful shades of George Benson's style too.

1 Point @fastonebaz - Very nifty playing as usual and some great melody, legato, bends.
