Sorted - cheap(ish) Fender strat

Before i jump on a mim Roadworn from ebay, does anyone have anything they'd like to cash in? 
Must have maple board and plumpish neck. 
Up to £800(ish)

I've seen a few USA standards crop up for that sort of money recently

Surf green american special of interest. Has large 70s headstock which some don't like. Texas specials jumbo frets and modern c neck from memory

Yep... it seems though only the newer ones have the deeper necks tho... and they're a bit pricey still.

I’m on the same boat. Modern c necks seem to be the norm at the lower price point. I can’t understand why?I was looking at the Strat International Colour Mij with a U shaped neck although getting a used one is proving difficult

Yep the mij ones look a good bet - they also do a Heritage 50s but pricey and like hens teeth used. Am thinking mim 50s Classic Player might be the one..

Just to say I sold my heavily upgraded USA strat for £850 recently so have a look for a USA one. You might get very lucky. Especially this time of year when things might not be selling as fast.

I have a black maple soft v necked 50’s classic if you’re interested? 2011 not a ding dent or crackle. I’m after something with a 70’s style headstock so I’m happy to let it go

The Vintera 50s Modified has a bigger neck and is a very nice thing IMO.  Discontinued now so reduced in many places.

Thanks yes was looking at those - tbh im unclear about neck profile on the modified strat - seen it listed as modern c, whereas the modified tele listed with vintage neck. Is it just a thick c...?

You're right - I just looked it up.  It's definitely bigger than a modern C though.  A mate picked it up and immediately commented upon it, comparing it to his CS Strat.
