Did anyone see this documentary on the TV? Think it was on channel 4. Anyway I thought it was pretty interesting and they had some great footage and pictures of him live. He was certainly very influential and had an eventful life. 

Not giving away spoilers but I enjoyed the bit about them having to change the lyrics to Tutti Frutti as his original words were a bit spicy for the 1950s! I had no idea about the origins of that song.

    It's astounding what he actually got away with in the 1950s. Just to be as obviously, flamboyantly gay as he was and have a career at all is remarkable.
