Using a line out direct to a power amp- is this a bad idea?

I have a street cube mark 2 which allows me to sing and play guitar via the 2 channels. The quality is great. If im doing an indoor gig I would like to use this as a monitor then take a feed from the street cube line out directly to my Chevin A500 to drive a set of pa cabs.
I could take a mixer as I have an an old spirit folio but am wondering if I really need to do this .Im thinking of using line out in mono to split to male xlr left and right.
is this a bad idea or is there a better way (di box) or something?
advive gratefully received!

It might work, but it could cause level and ground loop issues.

It will definitely work with one of these -

They're literally only £24 new! (Although the word 'professional' on it might be stretching things a bit... :) )

Roland usually get their line outs right just remember to use balanced TRS leads, and check reveeb an effects are included on the line out, some amps AER for example send the line out dry
