    I've played in enough bands over the past 15 years to know that getting the right people for it is difficult. They may be able to play well but if they can't be arsed to learn parts or turn on time then I'm jumping ship. When the motivation isn't there because of it then the enjoyment suffers and you end up dreading going to rehearsals cos you know what's going to happen. 80% of the time spent together in a band isn't on the stage funnily enough, there's long hours touring, recording in the studio etc. I'm lucky the last band I played in we are all friends first and foremost and can pretty much do anything together as we've toured and lived together for long periods. We know each other very well and get along with the same sense of humour. We've tried playing in other bands but the banter and camaraderie just isn't the same.
