Hey folks, seen a few of these change hands on here in the past so just thought I’d see if there was anyone thinking of moving one on. Ideally I’d be after an M1 model.

I potentially have one coming up but it is an M1 Ultra with 128GB RAM and a 4TB drive so won't be cheaper than the base model M2.

Might be a while, the M2's only landed in June.
It would be highly unusual for them to turn up before June 2024.

Yes it is interesting but expect software developers to address this over time.

It is always difficult judging the efficiency of a new machine right after release because there is a catch up period until everything becomes compatible and optimised.

We still have some plugin manufacturers who don't have native Apple Silicon versions.
I am still running Ventura, not Sonoma on my production machine.
