I watched it occasionally as a kid etc  can’t remember her much though
  very clever writing in those days  a lot of the show was the dialogue

In recent years, I think of her more for the role of Pearl in the BBC radio comedy Ed Reardon's Week.

Ah, what a shame. I thought that she was great in 'Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads' - I thought she looked pretty fetching in that pixie uniform as well! RIP Thelma, pet.

RIP. Only seen her in 'Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads' so otherwise can't comment, My Dad loved this show and we watched it as a family and so I came  to love it too and I've made the effort to watch the repeats more than once. 

I too thought Thelma was a bit of of a babe and just needed to take something to make her loosen up... imagine.

She was in The Likely Lads film too, but not the original series.  Was she as pretty as Deirdrie Birchwood though?
