I could be tempted but reckon 5 watts would be too quiet.
The Victoria 5112 is completely the opposite - simply one of the best-sounding amps I've ever heard. The 12" speaker and bigger cabinet makes a *huge* difference - like a completely different amp. It turns a Champ, which is a nice but quite boxy-sounding amp dominated by the speaker, so it always sounds more or less the same when it's turned up no matter what guitar or even pickup you use, into one of the most natural, transparent and responsive amps I've ever played. It's also astonishingly loud for a 5W amp, at least when overdriven - it drops down very quickly if you clean it up, so it didn't really work with a band even though the fully-cranked sound was actually just about enough.
Even the lack of reverb wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me, although it usually is. (But you can always use a pedal.)

"Only two things are infinite - the universe, and human stupidity. And I'm not sure about the universe." - Albert Einstein
If I had the opportunity again, I'd go for a Victoria 5e3 for the tone control and extra flexibility with pickup choice.
However, the the feel and sound of the 5112 is unbelievable, whether clean, edge of breakup or full overdrive
The 5112 up full tilt with a strat or tele has to be experienced to be believed
The only thing I could note, is that they have a bit of hum, but that is the nature of the beast I think for this circuit and certainly didn’t affect my enjoyment of the amp.
