I know its not what you want to hear but I had one of these - the finish in person is sublime! I got rid of mine because it was very top heavy when you sit down, kept feeling like it was going to fall on its face!

Shame, I had one of these but moved it on earlier this year. Cracking guitar, but being a short arse I just couldn't adapt to the full big body sized Gretsch thing...

I don't mind that too much - love the larger-bodied Gretsch models.
