UAFX Lion - Volume Dip Question

What's Hot
Question for anyone who has a UAFX Lion.

I bought one the other day and it sounds great, but I’m noticing a big drop in output volume when the volume (both 1 and 2) is between 11 and 1 o’clock ish. Is this normal, is anyone else experiencing this?

Playing with a telecaster

Cheers

I’ve got mine and first impressions are it sounds excellent. What are the other settings you are using? I’ve not noticed any volume drop yet

  • I made a video for uad support, uploaded it too you tube. It doesn’t sound like a big drop in the video cus of the iPhone audio but it’s quite noticeable in real life, you can see from the levels going into the interface.

Happens in all cabs and models for me.

That’s odd. It’s clear on the video. Mine definitely doesn’t do that.

  • How strange, I went back up to the shop I bought it from and tried it against another lion they had in stock and it did the same thing! Waiting to hear from UAD support, I’ll let you know what they say.

    What guitar are you using?

Actually mine does dip the volume, but only if I turn volume 1&2 at the same time. It’s , if I play an open chord and turn them the volume dips but then blooms back up again a second or so later. It’s almost like the noise gate does something unusual. It doesn’t do it when I playing though. That quirk aside, I think it’s great to play. Very responsive

  • Yeah it’s definitely one of the best amp sims I’ve played, I’m not super put off by the dip, but it is very strange. Still waiting on UA to get back to me, will be interesting to see what they say
