Rare Greco APW-500 Dan Armstrong ADA6 Copy MIJ 1991

Up for grabs is this very nice vintage 90’s Greco APW-500, a rarely seen guitar. With more than a nod towards the legendary Dan Armstrong lucite guitars of the 1970s, this guitar is instead constructed out of basswood so it’s not going to break your back. In fact, this guitar is extremely light - just 2kg on the scale. 

The single humbucker pickup also has a great sound, with a switch that alternates between full humbucker and a straight bypass of the tone circuit altogether. 

The neck is maple with a rosewood board and a nice flat 12 radius. Frets look good, with plenty of life left.

Overall it’s in good shape, with a few scratches and play wear consistent with its age.

Very nice Fender Japan ST-Champ in an extremely rare pistachio green finish. This is a model built in the renowned Fujigen factory and made only for the Japanese market - a scaled down body with a built in amplifier, great for noodling on the sofa or for travelling with. The neck is short scale, like a Fender Mustang and is very comfortable to play. Being a late model, the neck has a truss rod, which the earlier versions of the ST-Champ did not. The 3 way blade switch works as a power switch for the built in amp - the middle setting is clean and the back setting is overdriven. The amp is powered via a 9v battery. The guitar can also be plugged into a regular amp as usual. There are a few small dings as pictured, but overall this is a great little guitar built extremely well as you’d expect. It comes with the original Fender soft case.
