Budda Phat 12 speaker

Hi all,

I recently picked up a Budda Super Drive 30. It’s great. I thought I’d try it with one of my creamback cabs to see if there was a lot of difference and it’s quite a big difference. It’s a lot less strident with the creamback, easier on the ear. Does anyone know what the Phat 12’s were modelled on?

Also any other speakers to try out with this amp. Some TGP search seems to recommend Classic 80’s.

A quick bit of googling has shown me why the Phat 12 is so strident. It has a sensitivity rating of 103 compared to the creamback 97. @ICBM is 103 unusual? It might be why so many think the budda amps are so loud?

Who's it made by? Eminence? 103dB isn't that out-there for Eminence... they tend to be nowhere near as loud as their ratings!

103db by eminence doesn't surprise me. I've read multiple times they rate their speakers slightly higher than they actually are and celestion do the opposite.
