Anyone tried a Vox Flat 4 Boost?

Has anyone tried one? What are they like?

I like how it has a standby switch for the 12ax7 that's being run off 9 volts.

Not heard it though! I like the look. Makes me think of a toy digger or something.

It's actually a power switch that saves you having to unplug at the input jack socket.

 

I think I read somewhere that these run the valves at quite a high voltage - higher than the usual placebo valve circuits anyway.

I saw some of these 'in the flesh' for the first time the other day  - they're absolutely enormous!
