Gretsch Stephen Stern Masterbuilt Red / Black Falcon

Lovely thing that I have had for a long time, amazing ageing to the guitar and hardware. Setup with .13 flatwounds comes with COA and original hard case. One of the jewels are missing from one of the knobs but Gretsch aged and sent me a new set which is supplied.

This strat is stunning and haunts my dreams -

Missed it on gumtree when it was sold by the retired owner of Peach. 

Missed it with Jimmy, then ATB, then Tom and Clive Brown, then back to Jimmy and then Colin and now back here. 

Sold a shed load of gear over the New Year but out of my league now sadly.

Clive's work is just superb. Have a 55 TV junior restored by him and previously had a LP special and his work is always top notch. Very knowledgable guy too.

Literally a dream guitar for so many people.
Clive's work is the absolute best.
A few years ago, a players grade Strat would have been in my price range. The rate of inflation has meant they're no longer affordable for me. I'm sure though it's a great investment piece as well as a great player and I doubt any modern reissue will sound the same.

Stunning guitars!
A friend of mine recently acquired a 2019 American Original reported to have been aged by Clive, we weren't too sure at first, but I later verified by his signature - its absolutely incredible work and undeniable, quite Frusciante-esque level of wear.
I was suprised he would take something on like that, but perhaps it was a mate.
