Timeline intermittent problem

I know this maybe a hard question to answer but. Sometimes when I plug my pedal board in my Timeline doesn't start up. It will eventually and sometimes no problem. I use a Voodoo Lab PP2+ and have pretty maxed out its ports by running 2 strymons i.e. Timeline and a Mobius plus a few other pedals too. I'm pretty sure it isn't the cable connecting power but further testing will help me with that question. Could I be overloading the Voodoo Lab that it finds it difficult to power that amount? By the way I use a doubler adapter for the PP2+ in case anyone thinks it to do with the ports. So I use 4 + 5 and 3 + 6 ports to power the Srtymons

Once it fires up though I don't have any further problems. Anything like that happen to others here? Alternatively I can simply just use the PSU supplied with it. Or I'm doing something pretty stupid and overlooked something (wouldn't be the first time)

Might be wrong, but doesn't the PP2+ only have one set of sockets designed for the Strymon type stuff?

The original PSU makes sense to me, even though its not as neat.

Well it does have ports that would power one Strymon so that's why I had to borrow current from the other ports by using the adapters

Indeed, but not sure that's how its meant to be used. By this I'm not criticising your approach, and certainly not brimming with knowledge in this area.

I guess my point is that my understanding, which could well be wrong, was that only the single pairing were designed for Strymon etc type gear.

That could just be bullshit though...!!

Well isn't that's what the adapters are for?

I'm not sure. I think they are for that one specific pairing on the PSU, but don't know if the same concept applies to the other sockets. Again, just my understanding/assumption.

Maybe safer just to use the PSU then in future . Will have to take along to a gig and extra plug bar that's all

Yeah, I'm in the same situation. I have a H9 and El Cap, and whilst I'm not gigging with that board yet, I'd resigned myself to using the original PSU for the El Cap and a plug bar. 

So from that perspetive, I might learn something else from this thread too :-)
