That can make using a trimming router into a plough router. I’m sure many of you have got these little trimming routers in the workshop. Great for what they would design for, but when it comes to using them as a plough router, adjusting the depth is a pain in the backside. I come across this router lift for use on a router table. Very sensibly priced, I ordered one, as I thought they could be used the other way round. I was really surprised at how well it was made, considering the price, under £30. And yes, it could be used the other way round, see the photos below. I only wanted to modify the routers I used when I radius fingerboards.
You'll see, I've added an extra nut to lock the two together, so I can use a 10mm spanner to adjust the height of the router.
