Riff of the Month (RotM) #84 Challenge

This is the 84th Riff of the Month (RotM) Challenge.

The challenge is now open, and remains open for submissions until midnight on 24th March 2024.

All you have to do is ...

Write a riff. It could be anything from a single RAW guitar track to a full mix of instruments or a Bass guitar riff. However, the focus must be on the riff. Most entries will probably be guitar based riffs, but they don't have to be.

Aim to keep it to a maximum of 50 seconds. This is about riffs, not songs.

Include your forum name in the email.

Voting will start soon after the submission deadline, with each voter selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.

First choice gets 5 points - Second choice gets 3 points - Third choice gets 1 point. The order and scores of the top three entries will be announced soon after the voting ends. 

No prizes. It's just for fun.

Currently, only entries from @TTony and me. It's already been carried over a month. What do you think @TTony? Should I carry it over one more month?

That's odd @stratman3142 - there are loads more entries on the cover challenge and even the composition challenge, which I would have through were far more work to do!

It probably shows - but my RoTM entries are generally about 5mins work, and only that long because I never get it 100% right first time.  Nor - often - even final time

Should we canvas opinion more widely about why the RoTM has become the poor relation of the challenges?

Yes happy to hear what people want from the Riff of the Month challenge.

I'll keep it going no matter what, as these things ebb and flow.

Riffs are more work than solos for me, since I like to explore drum programming and play bass on it too. But mostly, it's a mixture of life commitments and being a lazy b'stard that gets in the way...
