FS - 2018 Gibson Les Paul Classic Goldtop - ‘54 Conversion SOLD

A new arrival this week with P90s means this will probably not get played much. I’m so tempted to keep it just for being a great piece of eye candy but I’m trying to keep the collection as only guitars that are played.

This is a Gibson Les Paul Classic Goldtop that I picked up new from GuitarGuitar back in 2018.

A few years ago I sent it off to Feline for them to remove the stop tail, plug the holes and install a faber wraptail.

I then had to wait a year to make sure the plugs had settled and then it went off to Rich for a makeover. Rich used a combination of magic and fairy dust to brilliantly darken the board, he undertook a relic refin using the correct crescent bronze powder. The refin is absolutely stunning with greening showing on the finish. Rich also razored the headstock and took a little finish off the neck for a more VOS feel.

The tuners have also been changed to tulip klusons.

Cracking weight at around 8.3lbs.

Original case is included.

Unsure where to price this so I’ll put it out there at the aptly priced £1954 + shipping.

Glorious guitar! That's the only spec of carved top LP I would buy. However I've got a TV Yellow Special with P90s which gets gigged regularly, and I just wouldn't play both. GLWTS.
