This is a first series (2019) of the Am Pro Tele, and I have to say I think Fender did a wonderful job.

The redesigned ashtray bridge and saddles work brilliantly and look fab; the neck profile is clever (neither chunky nor twig-like), and the Tim Shaw-designed pickups never ever gave me pause to think whether I should swap them for something more boutique (and expensive).

All the case candy is present and correct, and although I swapped the 9 hole green guard for something more period, I'll supply the original guard if you'd like easier adjustment on the neck pickup.  The switch tip is also a swapsie, cream replacing the black I received the guitar with.

There is one (repaired) ding on the upper edge of the guitar; it doesn't bother me, but you can see the repair in one of the photos.  The colour match isn't great, although if you remove the pickguard you can see how the guitar has already started changing colour, explaining the slight mismatch.

Everything is packaged securely in the new style Fender case which is very well designed IMHO; the  keys for the case (and the relevant Allen keys) come along with all the various tags.  I'm offering this at £999, which I think is a fair price, and forms part of my drive to achieve 3 guitars and 1 amp at home.  Will post in the UK, or drive a reasonable distance to effect an in person handover.

    Good question; as far as I'm aware, yes it's an alder body.  As I'm sure you're aware, Fender generally seem to be throttling back on swamp ash, although obviously some factory models and some CS variants still use ash.
