I’ve been looking for something to keep me occupied in retirement, first heard this by SRV, as this is by a local lad and well presented, think he’s definitely worth a look, one of four, here’s the link

The whole Midnight Blue album is awesome - One of fav jazz players - More of a bluesy player than other jazz based players, hence he influenced SRV - If you want to jazz up your blues licks then just jam along with this album and pick up some ideas for both chord work, licks, solos etc

Steve is one of my long-standing customers and an incredibly nice bloke. Killer player, too.

He's been Josh Stone's guitar player for years now

It's a great album and it's also a good place to start transcription as the harmony is pretty static.  Kenny is a killer bop player that can play great blues too - worth checking out his solo on Freight Trane with Mr Coltrane himself, pure bop goodness - tho a lot less accessible than Chitlins.  There enough in there to keep you going for a loooooong time.

I’ve used Steve Down’s YouTube channel myself and agree  it’s a great resource.
Regards Kenny Burrell, I’d say Live at the Village Vanguard is my favourite.
