I've wondered this too. I guess alot of shops are now stocking multiple brands so I'm guessing it makes sense for Gibson to do this.

£7-8k is the going rate for a light aged Custom, can’t find any info online for the asking so wouldn’t be surprised if they were priced keenly to sell out on the day

My understanding was they were priced at £9,999.
Have seen a few already listed on eBay / Reverb for circa £16k.

Would have loved one, but too far for me to travel with no guarantee of being allocated one since they were so limited.

Gibson/Rosetti has been making life difficult for smaller retailers for decades. Minimum stock holding. Immediate reordering whenever something sells.  A pyramid of Gibson and Epiphone models at various price points. (i.e. Eight to ten Epis for every Gibson.)

The latter business model is by no means unique to Gibson/Rosetti.
