Just received a prototype thinline telecaster from Darren Horton at Daniel's guitars. It is magnificent!. Equal at least to the Greg Fessler Masterbuilt 'Surf Green with Envy' that I have. Darren really knows how to put together a beautifully made but eminently playable guitar!

I won't be making anymore bolt on type builds as I've moved my models in a different direction and I'm a set neck builder, I had to build all these others to work out what I do and don't want, I'll be making my offset pugilist model into a tele type combo.

Nice that. Lovely figuring on the neck and single piece of wood body. Better pickguard that Fender's too. What's not to like.

There’s a seam visible on the back and it’s a two-piece top. Looks a nice guitar though.

At least you can see the wood unlike some others guitars that could be god knows what.

Shame you’re not making any more like this. Looks a fantastic build. Miss my Suhr Alt, but the traditionalist in me is intrigued by a more old-fashioned looking alternative with a nitro finish.
