TC Nova Delay and Modulator power supply replacements (12v) - that don't hum

nickpnickp Frets: 183
in a bad evening I managed to break the original power supplies for my two nova pedals.  I've bought replacements on ebay but they generate a lot of mains hum

does anyone know where I can get a power supply that doesn't hum.

These things run off a 12v supply

They will comfortably run off a 9v power supply as well. I use mine with outputs 4 and 5 on my Voodoo Labs PP2+, but they work on a OneSpot as well.

I used mine from a Diago Powerstation, and a Visual Sounds One Spot at 9v without hum

Yep - as the boys have said, 9Vs will work with these. The Gigrig Generator is a good unit. Small, very powerful with no hum. I know they've gone up in price but a used one could be a good buy.

As others have said you can run them off a 9v provided it has a shit load of current.

I spoke to TC about it and they said it's fine, but it does reduce the headroom of the pedal, but that's probably not a problem unless you are using it in a line level environment or with an 18v bass etc.
