So this claims to be an N2. What I cannot reconcile is this - it suggests 2006 from the serial number. However I cannot find any instance of an N2 around that time of manufacture with the combination of coloured body but plain light wood headstock. Every example I have seen has a matching coloured headstock.

Pickups are Seymour Duncan which suggests modded and an improvement on stock.

Any body seen one like this before? Any assistance appreciated and well received.

    Two thoughts.

Firstly, the serial number and any date markings might reflect when the body and/or neck were manufactured rather than when the guitar was assembled.

Secondly, given that the stock pickups have been replaced, it is possible that the neck is also a replacement.

Agreed @Funkfingers the neck replacement was something I considered. This is the first N2 I have ever seen in the flesh.
