Rocketfire S Type - Sorry now withdrawn.
Bought and imported from Rocketfire USA in 2007
This is an early guitar from Nick Sorenson, using Fender licensed parts and not one of his more recent guitars that he builds from scratch.
’62 specs. Looking for around £1200 or possible trade for Fender AV2 Telecaster
Total 60s pickups
Fairly full C shape neck
NB. Neck was originally 10” profile and has recently been professionally modified to a 7.25” neck profile by a very good luthier.
Lightly aged body & hardware
Heavy steel block trem, and a mint green guard, thin Nitro finish to neck & body.
New refret with Stewmac 0152 fret wire (StewMac, "Dan Erlewine's Favorite" is listed as 0152. It is .092" wide and .048" tall. Slightly wider and taller than the vintage Fender wire.)
Master tone mod (bottom tone control unused) - easily reversed if not wanted.
Trem set flat against the body - 5 springs used
Very resonant guitar.
Including the highly rated hand wound Total 60s pickups. Not overwound, still period correct , but full sounding, with bite, but not piercing.
Very comfortable neck, great fretwork & setup.
Strung with Ernie Ball 10 - 46
Action is: 1st, 12 fret open 2/32”, (1.58mm)
6th is 5/64ths, 2mm, as close as I can measure. Neck relief almost flat.
