Hello - I’m considering changing the robo tuners on my 2017 SG Standard to Grovers - even though the Robos have been OK in my non-live experience.  Does anyone know if this change requires any drilling for the small screws on the Grovers? Thanks

I replaced them on my Les Paul Special Doublecut.
As far as I remember you needed to drill new holes.

In practice this is very easy, just test fit the tuner, get it at an angle you're happy with, and use the screw hole as a guide for a 1.5mm drill bit to drill a pilot hole.
No need for a bench drill.

Edit: just wrap a bit of masking tape on the drill bit at the right depth so you don't go too far and come out the face of the headstock

And if you mess it up you can always put the old tuners back to hide the holes.
