This year I'm giving Ultra a go. So far, liking it very much, we will see if I'll bond with it

Fender Ultra Telecaster in Texas Tea finish. Looks black in low light but:

if it were a cup of tea - definitely needs more milk in it to be ‘tea coloured’, for my liking.

A friend of mine had an Ultra Stratocaster in the same finish. I never saw it properly lit up. I suspect that the owner never did either. If he had, he might not have dumped it so quickly.

I blow hot and cold on Teles but I really, really like that. It just *looks* like it plays sweetly.

Also showing my age, I read 'Ultra' and immediately thought of Lace Sensors and roller nuts.

Gorgeous.  Possibly my ideal Tele - perfect specs (rosewood 'board, six-saddle bridge, great pickups, locking tuners, top-bound, comfort cuts) and adore that colour.

I think Teles look great in many colours and fantastic in some, like this.   But they're still Teles under the paint......................

Nice colour!

I went from a early 00s USA Tele, that wasn't that great, to a Baja, kept the extra money and bought a 69 Thinline American Reissue years ago in the sale.

The Baja is absolutely superb and I will never sell it! Gigged/recorded/rehearsed with it loads the past 2 years and it's been flawless.

I've not use the Thinline as often but I'll change that in the future.

Congrats on the Ultra Tele! Texas tea is definitely one of the better colours of the series, with the aluminium Pickguard. it just looks like a classy machine. 

I've got one of these sale currently - If I wasn't gassing for something else it would be a keeper.

I played one today, they really are lovely (although the additional contouring on the lower horn serves basically no purpose).

I love rolled edges on fretboard, I enjoyed Charvels for that reason but never fully got on with the neck shape. This one is quite delightful.
