Identifying a floyd rose locking tremolo

AJSAJS Frets: 43
I have been using floyd rose tremolos for years

i have a number guitars withh genuine floyd roses and other guitars with clones
Charvel mod 6 has a JT6
Charvel 750xl and Charvel Fusion have JT580
Ibanez RG570 has a wizard
ESP strat has a sinclair

recently acquired a charvel with an 'original' Floyd rose

This says Original floyd rose on the top of the baseplate as is shown in the picture.  I have never seen one with the word original on it.  It seems to work ok.

does anyone know anything about them?  are they a cheapy ?

They did that for a few years from about 1995-2000, when Floyd Rose had gone to Fender (Arbiter in UK) for distribution, so it's a genuine made in Germany one.

Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.

    It's a genuine Floyd Rose, but a fake Charvel (a Ch-charvel...?)

Just kidding.  I'm no Floyd expert, but this page has a picture of a similar one which they reckon may be early to mid '90s:

Not sure who made this charvel guitar but I know its not Fender and I know its not charvel/jackson.  It was one of those made around the time of the Model A about 2000. After Charvel had gone under.

But it has a genuine FR a bareknukles nailbomb and two seymour mini HBs
It has done dozens iof gigs since i got it off Ebay for about £150

the article about FR trems is excellent thanks
