NGD - Black Paisley Telecaster

An unexpected NGD.
Started the year with plans to reduce the number of guitars and this was working well until now, with a few things departing.

Friday was a trip to Glasgow for the annual Country to Country festival with the days headliner being one of my favourites, Brad Paisley. Throughout his set he worked his way through a number of lovely vintage Fenders and Crook customs, along with his Mexican signature esquire for a few tunes

Long story short. FB marketplace, local, right price = NGD.

I longed for one of these when they came out as the specs and looks are perfect for me. American Vintage 58 pickups, 7.25 radius, shiny & Paisley. What else could I ask for?

Fits in well with the locals.

Along with the rest of them.

Not quite @Paul_C levels of teleholic obsession. But on my way.

What an exquisite beastie that is. Nice to hear that BP uses his sig guitar too, that’s also a very fab guitar.

Yep. Seen him using it a couple of times since I got mine. Not just a cursory song either. 3 or 4 at each gig. Of course he’s added a G-bender to his, but nothing other than that.

Some nice pieces but the single pick up Cabronita wins IMO

    Very nice :)

Is that one with the paisley on front and back ?

Mine is an FSR with only the front having paisley on, the rest is black.

The snot monster was a purchase from here a few years ago.  IIRC the first weekend of freedom after lockdown Mrs and I took a long road trip from Lancashire to Cambridge to collect it.  Deal done in the back garden to stick within the rules.  Pondered delivery but it was the first opportunity to get out of the house for anything more than a dog walk or shopping for essentials.

That one, along with the Brad Paisley Esquire are my main gigging guitars.  Occasionally one or the other will be replaced by something else from the cupboard, but they get 99% of the gigging time.  Singer in the band jokes about me only being able to concentrate on managing one pickup.

The Powertron is a cracking pickup.  More oomph than singles/P90's, but not as extreme as some HB's.  Winds back on the volume nicely too.

HNGD. Fine collection indeed. I've un-paisley'd mine and un-reliced them. They're great.

That’s a fine looking Tele. I wish I could love the feel of maple necks. I had have a much greater choice of Fenders.

That’s awesome. I had the Mexi FSR one about 10 years ago but this looks even better.

I’d love a Brad Paisley model but I already have plenty of Teles and am already considering a thinking build as well…
