  • That 1960 MM in the video was previously mine, I ended up selling it through ATB but it was a lovely thing. GLTWS these guitars are alot of fun.

That’s a nice looking guitar and would make a great bedfellow for my ‘59 MM which is more player grade thanks to a headstock break in its past.

I do have a MiM 69 Thinline if that’s of interest, I’d have to work out how to bridge the rest of the financial gap though. I’ll do some sums!

I was offered one of these a few months ago as a trade for one of my guitars. I like the look of them, but not sure if I would ever use it.

You either get them or you don't.

To me the feel of an old guitar can not be matched, the pickup is also quite unique.
It's a vintage Gibson for not crazy money, it's only going to increase in value too.

If I want to turn it into a screaming monster I just send it through a Chase Tone Pre Amp.
Even just straight into my Cornford Harlequin it's instant ZZ.

The wood could be 100 year's old, they give off a vibe I don't get from any new or relic guitar.
Played acoustically late at night you have a nice light weight but super resonate guitar.

     What's not to love.

    They look ace!

The guy I was talking with at the time had a Lollar pickup in (the original was also included), but I haven't played one, so I was hesitant.

Has to be a Single Cut for me - yes they do look lovely.
Mine has been sat in it's case for 40 year's I think.

     Very little play wear.

I have the fugly mk3. Wind up the gain on a valve amplifier, roll the guitar's tone pot back to six or seven. Grind out some gutsy rivvum geetar. Nothing "student" about the sounds.  :)
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.
