Removed from sale - 1971 Fender Stratocaster (Four Bolt)
What's Hot
I've been offered a trade/ swap on this outside the forum but thought I'd put it on here to see if anyone fancies this.
It's one of the last four bolt strats made before they moved to the dodgy three bolt necks. And it's pretty rare being a hardtail.
It's a refin and has a very old heel repair (guessing twenty years or more).
Parts wise, it's 100% original - Aug 71 neck, pups and pots all stack up date wise. 3 way switch. Plastics/ knobs are all original. And the body is spot on apart from the white refin.
Lovely patina on the front of the headstock (dirty nitro on the head face, with poly on the back of the neck). And a really nice dark board.
Frets are fairly new, no donks are marks, and they're a decent size and this bends to the bottom.
May take a px if it helps.

Comments
Mine is an Aug 71 neck.
The original pups, pots and three way switch have never been unsoldered, which seems a bit of a rarity.
I think most people went to a five way and either left it or tried to revert to claim originality.
Also, you hear the stories about putting the switch in mid positions with bits of fag packets etc - this one can be gently put in the mid positions and will stay with no issues.
it's a nitro refin.
