Arrived last week. 2006 model JCRG8470A-VV. Basically a JCRG8470F but with a more figured top. The 8470A models only came in Vintage Violin and were obvs made in more limited numbers. These are quite hard to come across. Standard J Custom specs from this era, Mahognany Body, FM top, Super Wizard neck, Edge Pro, TZ/BV/AN Di Marzios. This had a Sustainer pickup in the neck, hence the extra knobs and switches, removed by previous owner and now with the original Air Norton back in. I'm gonna grab a Sustainer and get it fitted....the buggers aren't cheap though. Thanks for checking it out.....few pics below:

    Cheers Jason. Yeah Vintage Violin is one of the coolest Ibanez finishes...it does deviate it a bit though. I have others that look like a more Cherry Burst.

    Sorry...meant to fire these up. Vintage Violin deviants on some of my Ibanez plus Fire Agate...

    Vintage Violin:

    Another Vintage Violin:

    This J Custom is Fire Agate:

    Yet this Prestige is Vintage Violin! Go Figure.

    You need to get that sustainer back in there.

    I’m building a Jem style partscaster and have a plan a sustainer in that. Was going to be the Jem I had listed, but the ebony ones are getting a bit rare now, and it’s a killer guitar as-is :astonished:

    That Fire Agate 7-string is just gorgeous! I'll never be able to afford guitars like those but I'm totally in awe of your collection :)

    Very nice! love the character in that top and the finish.
    The violin burst thing, you'd think (or I would) it might mean semi-gloss if nothing else, but they do a gloss 'violin' too...

    @Dave_Mc ;  @Svartmetall ;  @Corvus ;  @StefB ;  Thanks guys!!

    @SquireJapan: ; Yeah I've already been looking for the kit but not too keen on dropping approx £300 for a new one. Will sit tight and see what comes up on the used market.  The Jem partscaster sounds interesting.
