    I can't understand why a genuine prospective purchaser would choose to continue a conversation after a response saying "it's in shit condition".  I wouldn't have proceeded past the thumbs up response.  If somebody can't be bothered to type "yes it is" they don't deserve a response or a sale.

    I've had a couple of things for sale on Facebook and it really is remarkable how many of these messages you get. It's almost always the same formula line for line too: is it available, what's the condition, can I get my great uncle who lives locally to collect it.

    Still, having had the stuff listed here, gumtree and Facebook both have sold through Facebook so I suppose it's worth wading through the obvious scammers
