Following on from my Les Paul WTB post….I took the plunge and picked up this Honeyburst Gibson Les Paul Standard from the year 2000. It’s pretty much stock, other than a replacement bridge due to the old one corroding apparently….it’s my 3rd Les Paul, as I’d had a gecko burst and the wonderful Navigator Goldtop that now resides with
@Aidanspaghetti ;;;;;;
I really wanted an R8/9 but this will do very nicely until something outrageous turns up uninvited
more pics later, but my iPhone camera is jiggered and all shaky…. @pumkin is this picture better Pete?

Hope you enjoy the guitar.
I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to
I’m with you, though. I like a plain top on a Les Paul. Flames and quilts look gaudy and chintzy IMO.
That's the exact same colour as an Epiphone ES 335 Pro that I'm selling - this is the exact colour though not my photo or guitar, and both Gibson as well as Epiphone - see the link I posted, describes the colour as ''Iced Tea Sunburst''.
Enjoy that lovely guitar!
That top looks a lot like my standard from 99 which is also plain but has a few interesting highlights like a hint of flame and some other imperfections.
My head said brake, but my heart cried never.
edit….I’m not sure what convinced Gibson to fit a tailpiece made of recycled scrap metal!
