FX less pronounced when using acoustic IR? (HX Effects)

Loaded up some IRs to try with my HX FX and noticed that my boosts and chorus now less pronounced ie I get very little level increase and barely hear the chorus effect. It doesn't seem to matter where in the chain I place the IR. This is my first time dabbling with IRs so I'm assuming I've done something wrong! Any ideas?

I used a few from this site: Acoustic IR (free.fr)

Is there a IR mix level? And can you change where in the fx chain the IR acts? E.g earlier?

Certainly with the 3sigma IRs that I’ve got, the default level can be set quite low, so everything sounds quiet and benefits from a bit of fiddling to get a better balance.

IR is first in chain and I think the mix is set to 100%

I think I’ve managed to tweak everything so it works with the IR but I’m having other issues which might be related to a newly fitted pickup. And a dodgy speaker lead. And some loose internal wiring. Basically there’s lots of shit to sort out!
