    It’s from the ICON series, so better build quay than regular Vintage models.
    Should be an absolute cracker!

    The goltop LP ICON is fabulous value for money.

    I’ve got a Goldtop R6, and a goltop Gretsch Jet, so well sorted for Goltops, but I keep looking at this one.

    Just ordered the Vintage   JHS must be running that Ivor Mairants store as it sells all their stuff
       & it said you have just made a payment to John Hornby Skewes
    Thanks for the tip.
    I had a look at the outlet section of the site, sone great deals on Vintage brand guitars here
    https://ivormairants.co.uk/collections/outlet-guitars
    Every so often they do blanket discounts as well (which also usually apply to the Outlet ones)- 10%, sometimes 15%. They haven't for a while, though. I think I got 10% off my Outlet Jazz Bass. Needless to say, a couple of weeks later they did 15%...

    That's interesting, I didn't know that. Some of the Fender-style Icon models actually seem to use "worse" wood like poplar for some reason? Whether that makes any difference or not, though, I don't know!

    Excellent score on the V59 @hollywoodrox ;;;

    A friend had a lovely Lemon Drop (Peter Green model), and it’s a cracking thing. He’s a friend of Yrevor Wilkinson, and was also gifted the hand reliced prototype version.  It’s his main gigging guitar.

    Agree with everyone here, but I'd still love to see a 'reverse reliced'  PG Lemon Drop, as the later un-reliced version is just too glossy & clean looking.
    Strip the back & neck back to wood & then oil finish. The top maple laminate is beyond rescuing, so leave it as is & play  ;)
