Cornell Explorer 10 head

eatapeacheatapeach Frets: 110
Cornell Explorer 10 watt head.

2 x ECC83/12ax7 and a single 6L6.  3 stage attenuation (down to 2.5w / a quarter / an eighth of a watt!)

Lots of positive reviews about these - eg a thread on here

And a review here https://www.guitarworld.com/reviews/cornell-explorer-10-head-review

This is mint, I can't see a mark on it.  It is extremely well built, interestingly it shares transformers with the more expensive Romany 10 (as you can see) but that's a tweed style single pre/power config.  This has two preamp tubes, and I assume the clean/mean switch brings in the second preamp valve for added gain.  I'm not enough of an amp designer to know, but seems logical.  It certainly gets all Marshall mid gain with gain turned up and mean switch.

Even though it's 10 watts it gets plenty loud - I have a Port City oversized 2x12 with Scumbacks (Greenbacks) and you can't stay on the room with it through that.  Cleans are also good, the amp runs very quiet even when turned to 10.

I'm asking £475 for this - I'm temped to keep it but the amp garage is full!

Contrary to public opinion I'm near Manchester and Huddersfield and not near the M20!
