FS/FT Fylde Single Malt Ariel

GandalphGandalph Frets: 1595
edited May 17 in Acoustics £
Single Malt Ariel from Fylde.
Excellent unmarked condition, I can't find a single mark, scratch or ding anywhere.
Lot's of mojo, it's a stunning little guitar to play, listen to and look at.

Built in 2019, this is one of the last two Ariel's made to this specification. Roger has since run out of Oregon Pine washback vessels and now uses Sinker Redwood for the soundboard, Ebony for the fingerboards and bridges and reclaimed Mahogany for the neck. There are more details about this on the Fylde website
It's just had a new set up and a fresh set of D'addario EJ16 12's Phosphor bronze strings fitted. The action measures 2mm on the low e and 1.8mm high e (approximately).

Any questions please ask.

Specs:
Top: reclaimed Oregon Pine from distillery wash back vessels.
Body: reclaimed Oak from whisky casks.
Neck: Reclaimed Oak and Oregon Pine.
Fingerboard and bridge: Oak reclaimed from whisky casks.
Copper fingerboard markers.
Gold plated Gotoh tuners.
Binding: reclaimed Oak from whisky casks.
Hiscox Liteflite case.
Nut width 1 13/16"(46mm)
Scale length 629mm
String spacing 2 1/4"
Ebony bridge pins.
Bone nut & bone compensated sadle.

I'd prefer a straight sale but could be interested in a high quality 0M, 000, or something vintage.

Price £4649 now £4500
I'm located in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
Postage available.

Thanks for the comments. It's certainly different and never to be repeated now that Roger has ran out of the oregan pine. It's an exceptional guitar, I just can't afford to keep it :/

I can remember seeing those in a guitar mag when he started doing them, always struck me as really cool. Not in the market but have a bump on me.

As an avid collector of both Whisky and Guitars I've been trying to find a way to afford this. Sadly it's not going to happen.

Open to possible trades for another acoustic if that will help you get there.

Not looking to buy but curious as to how it sounds and plays? With the top being oregon pine which looks to have a looser grain compared to spruce and cedar, how would you say it responds whats the sustain like?

I'm not the best at describing sounds. Punchy, articulate, loud, responsive, woody are some words I'd  use to describe it. Lot's of sustain.
