Shipping a guitar directly to a pickup point

WhitecatWhitecat Frets: 5452
Anyone know if it's possible with any couriers to ship a guitar directly to a collection point like a corner shop, depot or post office or whatever and be fully tracked - ie, no delivery attempt made at the receiver's actual home address?

Parcelforce advertises that they do it but when I enter the dimensions it says that service is unavailable, so I'm guessing it's because they don't want to handle boxes that big for collection.

Any suggestions welcome!

Try the UPS small business site.

Please be careful. I shipped a guitar to a pick-up point shop. When it got there the shop keeper was too busy and refused it. I then was liable for 2 more delivery costs as it went from the shop to the parcel couriers (a safe insured agency, so their address was the account holder for UPS) then again from the couriers to the buyer.

Thanks guys. This time around we figured out a plan B but I’ll look to UPS if/when this pops up again.
